Zebra Lost in Rainy Night

On this rainy night, Juventus completely lost its way: no fight, no strategy, no resistance.

After a three-year hiatus, I’ve been back to the Allianz Stadium in Turin to support Juventus live.

The sacred ground in my heart remains majestic even under the twilight. This modern stadium has carried the dreams of countless Juventini.

The 28th round of Serie A - a high-stakes clash against Atalanta. A win would keep the Scudetto hope alive; a loss would further complicate the race for next season’s Champions League spots.

When the anthem "Storia Di Un Grande Amore" echoed through the stands, I still felt the same rush of passion. I had secured a front-row seat - close to the players but obstructed by glass barriers. Worse yet, the roof was leaking, making it feel as if I were battling alongside the team.

On this rainy night, Juventus completely lost its way: no fight, no strategy, no resistance. Trailing behind, the coach still made position-by-position substitutions, sending wrong and terrifying signals - fans refuse to see a Juventus that isn’t eager to win.

As the scoreline stretched to 0-4, I saw some left, some wept, and some on the field wandered around waiting for the final whistle. The last time Juventus suffered such a heavy home defeat was in 1967 - a year before my father was even born.

The sight of a bewildered coach, lost and directionless, should never be the defining image of Juventus at Allianz Stadium.

You can’t claim to be a Juventus fan only when the team is at its peak. If this humiliation helps push Thiago Motta closer to the exit, then perhaps the rain tonight was worth enduring.
